My crew keeps falling out of step
Tap in time with the stroke-caller's beat shown on the race HUD. Falling behind the beat for too long drops a runner — ease off the cadence on the long straight and save your sprint for the finish.
How do I change my boat's colours or crew name?
Open the Shed tab, then tap the hull or the paint tins to repaint the livery, and tap the crew name to rename it. Everything is saved on your device straight away.
Does the camera feature send my photo anywhere?
No. Photos you take or choose for your crew crest are processed entirely on your device and stored only in the app's local data. See our privacy policy for details.
How do I turn off the daily regatta-call reminder?
Open Settings and switch off "Regatta call reminder". You can also manage notification permission for the app from the iOS Settings app at any time.
Is this the real Henley-on-Todd Regatta?
Bottomless Eights is an independent, fan-made tribute to the real regatta held in Alice Springs each August. It is not produced or endorsed by the regatta's organisers.
